I believe that being an artist provides a special way of knowing and seeing the world that allows us to bring together diverse, often divergent, aspects of life and birth something new. Thus, we both reflect and renew; mirror and create.

My art is an ongoing dynamic unfolding of imagination and the senses, inspired by my insatiable curiosity of what it means to be human. Using a single felting needle, hand-dyed Canadian-raised sheep’s wool, as well as natural, found and other interesting objects, I explore the exquisite (sometimes painful) beauty and wild magic of life as I see it.

My art is deliberately imperfect; it has bits of barnyard and field, plant matter, shiny bits, possibly some glitter, and other little treasures. It might even contain a message that came to me while making it. I love these imperfections because we are all inherently whole and imperfect; we are all at once a product of our past and the pure potential of our future, and that is the SweetSpot where magic lives. And out of that magical, potential-filled SweetSpot, my art emerges.
